At Nixa, when we like, we share, and at Nixa, we like to watch series, so today I asked four of the Geniuses to share their TV series recommendations.
For Aurélia, no hesitation, the series she chooses is The Walking Dead, currently in the middle of filming season 6, because, I quote, “zombies are cool, and then there is Daryl”.
Should we still present The Walking Dead? The adaptation of the comic book by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adard has enjoyed international success since the first season, released in 2010. We discover the adventures of Rick Grimes and his companions in the aftermath of a post-apocalyptic epidemic which transformed a large part of the population into zombies.
The series does not lack dramatic springs, intensity and tension.
Julien, for his part, recommends Arrested Development: “for its absurd humour. The Bluth family members, almost all of whom are in an existential crisis, must survive after the arrest of their father, which puts the family bank account in the red. In each episode, people get into absurd situations to have their share of the fortune. It is undoubtedly the large amount of conniving jokes and "easter eggs" that gives it its charm.
The series, which first aired between 2003 and 2006, was canceled after three seasons for lack of audience, despite great critical success. In 2011 however, Netflix acquired the rights to the series and produced a fourth season, and last April producer Brian Grazer announced a fifth season.
Simon does not hesitate either before declaring his love for The Big Bang Theory which is for him “the best show of humor, science and geek”. Broadcast since September 2007, the series is currently scheduled for another 2 seasons.
This sitcom follows the adventures of a band of friends in Pasadena, California, who have the distinction of being real nerds. An incisive humor and numerous references to the geek universe have made its success to such an extent that it now counts itself as an essential element of geek culture.
You will understand, if you have not yet seen these series, we highly recommend them. Do not hesitate to share your must watch with us, discover and discuss new things, we love it.
